TransitionKW has been busy organizing this spring’s Tools for Change movie series. These movie nights have been a lot of fun; the films have been both informative and inspiring, and the group discussions that follow speak to the huge stores of knowledge and enthusiasm that exist right here in the KW community. The films in this next set include Dirt!, Home, and Dive. A poster with further details can be found HERE. Please forward the poster to your family and friends! And post one up in your lunch room or in your favourite coffee shop!
These are free events, however space is limited so be sure to reserve your seat here.
In addition to the Tools for Change series, TransitionKW is also co-hosting a free screening of Occupy Love (which will be a community premiere!) at the Grand River Unitarian Church on April 15 at 7:30pm. Click here to register. Check out the trailer below.
Thanks again for all the support you’ve been showing TransitionKW by coming out to these events! Noam Chomsky, the great linguist, philosopher, and social activist, once said that the most powerful thing that a person can do is to join with others and begin organizing. In keeping with this idea, I think the Tools for Change movie nights have been (and hopefully will continue to be!) a great way to get out into the community, meet new people, start discussions and share ideas around these important issues, and begin building a more sustainable (and happy!) KW community.
